Paris climate: when to go to Paris?

The city of Paris has an intermediate climate between the oceanic climate and the semi-continental one, the effects of the oceanic climate are however preponderant, and this causes an often variable type of climate, with cool summers and mild winters.

The annual average of the average minimum temperatures is 8.6°C, that of the average maximum temperatures is 15.5°C, the rains are well distributed throughout the year but are not very intense.

From the point of view of temperatures, Paris has the lowest values in the month of January, when the average minimum temperatures reach 2.5°C, the minimums of the hottest month, July, stop at 15.5°C .

As regards the average maximum temperatures, in summer the highest values are in the month of August with 24.6°C, the average maximum temperatures of the coldest month, January, show a monthly average of 6.9°C.

The precipitations are quite low with an average annual amount of rain of 649 mm, and are evenly distributed in each month of the year, just think that the wettest month is May with 65 mm of rain and the least rainy months are both February and August with 43mm. Rainy days are also well distributed, ranging from a minimum of 7 rainy days per month in August and 8 days in July, to a maximum of 11 days in December, the other months all have between 9 and 10 days of rain during the month. The number of hours of sunshine is not very high, there are only 1,630 hours of sunshine in a year.

There are 24 days of frost throughout the year, the months in which frosts are more frequent are those between December and February, snow in Paris is a rather rare event, on average there are 15 days a year in which snow falls, generally these snowfalls occur between December and March.

WHEN TO GO TO PARIS

Visiting the city of Paris is pleasant all year round. Despite this, the best months are those from May to September.
